Jennifer Aniston recently sat down for an interview with British Vogue to talk about her fitness and exercise routine, but the Friends star also divulged a pet peeve that many women can surely find relatable. She shared that the often-used phrase, “You look good for your age,” is somewhat of a backhanded compliment.

“It drives me bananas; I can’t stand it,” Aniston told the publication of the expression. “That’s a habit of society that we have these markers like, ‘Well, you’re at that stage, so for your age …’ I don’t even understand what it means. I’m in better shape than I was in my 20s. I feel better in mind, body and spirit. It’s all 100% better.”

The 54-year-old actress often speaks candidly about embracing her age and practices what she preaches. In a recent Instagram post shared to both her personal account and her hair-care brand, LolaVie’s, page, Aniston announced a new product launch—with visible gray roots—much to the delight of followers.

“Jennifer, I proudly wear a few strands of silver in the exact same place! Own it! 😉🙂,” one person commented on LolaVie’s post.

“My love just grew exponentially for Jennifer seeing her grays! Bringing her whole self! Yes!!!” another individual noted.

“Your gray highlights are lovely. Trying to let mine grow out too to see if I’m feeling good in it. I’d love to stop trying to mask it though,” another fan admitted.
