Lindsey Vonn Puts on a Show in Latest Footage From the Slopes

As always, we are thoroughly impressed by her abilities (injuries and all).

With winter storms stretching across the country last weekend and the beginning of this week, it’s no surprise that former professional alpine skier Lindsey Vonn found herself back on the slopes of Colorado. Where else would she be following the first solid snowfall of the season out West?

While the 39-year-old never seems to stay in one place for long—she has a habit of event-hopping across the U.S.—the ski season has brought her to Colorado consistently this winter. Though—having retired in 2019 due to a string of injuries—she doesn’t compete professionally anymore, that doesn’t mean you won’t find her skiing as much as she can in winter. You will.

This weekend was no exception. With fresh snow and blue skies, we have no doubt Vonn made the most of the conditions. She made sure to capture some impressive footage of her latest morning on the slopes, too, and—as always—we’re thoroughly impressed.

“Blue bird day with perfect groomers = ripping some fast turns!! Nothing better ❤️🙌🏻⛷️,” she captioned the skilled clip she filmed of herself carving down the freshly groomed slopes.

Again and again, the athlete has proven that her series of injuries and surgeries (the latest having taken place only this past summer) won’t keep her from her passion: skiing. And we don’t blame her—if we had her talent, we wouldn’t stop skiing either. For her sake, we’re wishing for continued good conditions throughout the rest of the season.
