American gymnast Simone Biles has broken another U.S. gymnastics record. With a win on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at World Championships Selection Camp, the athlete secured a spot on the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships beginning in late September in Antwerp, Belgium. With this newest achievement comes an even bigger one—becoming the first U.S. woman gymnast to qualify for six Worlds teams.

The record-breaking performance comes mere months after the 26-year-old announced her return to competitive gymnastics following a two-year hiatus.

The Olympic medalist took to TikTok ahead of her record-breaking performance to share some fun facts about her past experiences with the Worlds team.

“My legs are actually starting to turn to stone, to bricks—that’s how nervous I am,” she said in a “get ready with me video” ahead of her historical performance on Tuesday.

But, despite the nerves, Biles was excited by the prospect of earning another spot on the team. Beginning in 2013, the icon has performed in five different World Championships, with her most recent appearance coming in 2019.

“My very first Worlds was in Antwerp in 2013. If I make this team, I’ll be going back to Antwerp ten years later,” she explained in the clip.

Though it wasn’t certain when she filmed, Biles was clearly excited by the prospect of what she deemed a “full circle moment.” She will indeed be making another appearance in Antwerp ten years after her first. And we’ll be rooting for her every step of the way.
