Brooks Nader Confirms She’s ‘Single As Can Be’ Amid Dakota Mortensen Dating Rumors

The model and reality TV star caused a stir earlier this week, but Nader is clearing the air.

A clip of model and Love Thy Nader star Brooks Nader chatting with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives personality Dakota Mortensen at a party went viral online earlier this week, with viewers speculating that the two might have been flirting—or are even already dating. However, Nader is clearing the air.

Making the rounds on TikTok

According to PEOPLE, rumors of a potential romance blossoming between the two allegedly began after they both attended a Hulu launch party for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast this past Tuesday, Nov. 11. There, a couple of attendees filmed the stars chatting, with one influencer posting the clip on TikTok featuring text reading, “Being an influencer is crazy because what do you mean it’s a Tuesday night and I’m in a private room at the Plaza Hotel watching Brooks Nader and Dakota Mortensen flirt with each other?”

In the short clip, Nader and Mortensen were standing close together, chatting with animated expressions and plenty of enthusiasm. Still, Nader wore sunglasses while Mortensen stood with his back to the camera, making their full facial expressions difficult to read—that is, until another POV of the moment dropped. (Yes, this was a multi-POV situation!)

Nader’s sister and Love Thy Nader costar Grace Ann Nader, who was also in attendance, later posted her own POV of the moment, capturing the pair at a different angle. In the caption of her video, she joked that she was “sensing a MESSY crossover.” At the time of this article’s publication, her POV clip has 2 million views and over 100k likes on the app.

Nader confirms she’s single

After a week of speculation from fans and plenty of playful pokes about the viral moment from those involved, with both Nader and Mortensen engaging in some banter in the respective comment sections on TikTok, the former let fans know in no uncertain terms that she and Mortensen are not dating—quite the contrary, as the model is not currently dating anyone.

“I don’t know how it stirred into this whole thing. I was having a conversation with a cutie. I don’t even know who he is,” Nader candidly told E! News. She went on to add, “They’re part of our Hulu family, so we went to support [...] but I had met him for the first time. He was so nice, but I’m single as can be. I’m a free bird.”

The model has long been open about her relationships, even sharing a glimpse into her recent heartbreak involving her former Dancing With the Stars partner on the very first episode of Love Thy Nader. You can check out the full first season now, which is available to stream on Hulu and Disney+.
