Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton appeared to make their relationship Instagram official earlier this week following months of rumors swirling around the stars. In the time leading up to the confirmation, many fans of the SKIMS cofounder and F1 driver had been speculating about a possible romance blossoming between the two, citing recent sightings of the A-listers traveling around the globe together.

Explaining the early rumors

As noted by ELLE, Kardashian and Hamilton have been connected since at least 2014, as they often moved in the same social circles. Still, the current run of romance rumors appears to have begun earlier this year in Aspen, Colo., when both Kardashian and Hamilton were spotted at Kate Hudson’s star-studded New Year’s Eve party.

Even so, as Cosmopolitan reported, Kardashian maintained that she was single in late January while appearing on her sister Khloe Kardashian’s podcast. When asked if she was seeing anyone, she confirmed she was single, going on to state that she was busy with her kids and career, adding, “I thought, ‘You know what? I’m going to be studying. I won’t have time. When I’m done, I’ll open myself up.’ I opened myself up. But it’s just, I haven’t found anyone. And that’s O.K.”

Then, in early February, the pair were seen together once more, enjoying a getaway at a luxe country club in the UK. Things quickly picked up from there, with reports stating the two were also seen staying together at another hotel in Paris and were seated together at this year’s Super Bowl in San Francisco.

Through this, neither party confirmed their coupling, but exclusive sources alleged the two were romantically involved. For instance, one exclusive source told Entertainment Tonight back in February, “They’ve been friends and known each other for years but are now exploring a romantic relationship.”

March was another travel-filled month for the potential couple, as they were once again photographed together abroad, this time in Japan, where Hamilton was set to race in the 2026 Japanese Grand Prix. Kardashian also shared pictures from the trip, further connecting the two to the location.

Everything came to a head earlier this week when Hamilton shared a high-energy video on his Instagram account for his 646,000 followers. In the clip, the F1 driver showed off his racing (and editing) skills as he jetted around a neon cityscape at night in multiple luxury vehicles. However, the most striking part of the piece by far was the final shot, which showed Hamilton drifting, revealing Kardashian sitting in the passenger’s seat of the car. “That was insane,” the reality TV star said with a smile as the video concluded.
