Megan Thee Stallion Shares Health Update After Exiting ‘Moulin Rogue!’ Mid-Performance

Megan Thee Stallion has shared a statement following a scary incident that occurred this week while she performed on Broadway.
What happened during Megan Thee Stallion’s performance?
The Grammy Award winner announced back in February that she’d be joining the cast of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, beginning March 24 through May 17, in the role of Zidler. This marked the recording artist’s first-ever stint on Broadway, and her opening night performance was met with plenty of support from fans and famous friends alike.
However, on Tuesday, March 31, there were reports that Megan had to exit the performance in the middle of the show, with a representative telling Variety, “During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated.”
And today, April 1, Megan shared a statement on Instagram to update her 32.7 million followers.
Megan Thee Stallion updates fans following illness
In the post, which featured a photo of the recording artist in her costume for the show, Megan opened up about the incident.
The rapper stated that the illness was a result of exhaustion, as she had been “pushing [herself] past my limits lately.” She also added that at one point, she believed she was going to “faint” while on stage, which was why she exited the show early.
Megan went on to clarify that she planned to take one day off to “rest, reset and take care of [herself] the way [she] should have been ...” and would be back to perform on Thursday, April 4.
Fans rally around the rapper
Fans of Megan were relieved to hear that the recording artist was doing all right after the scary news, and her comment section under the post quickly became a spot for followers to share their love, support and gratitude for her hard work.
“For the few minutes I saw you on stage last night you were incredible!!” One fan wrote, “Please rest and get better. We love you!!! ❤️❤️”
“I’m so glad you’re ok 🥰,” another user added.
“Whew now I can REST,” a concerned commenter noted.
“Feel better, Meg! Please take care of yourself!” Another concluded. “We love to see you win, but we want to see you healthy.”
We second all of the above sentiments, and are wishing Megan Thee Stallion a speedy recovery and some much-deserved rest!
