Olivia Culpo took her Instagram followers back to the beginning of her relationship with San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey this week while participating in one of social media’s sweetest trends.

A romantic note

The trend, which highlights an everyday moment that became monumental in the poster’s life, was exhibited by the former Miss Universe in an Instagram reel posted yesterday after she originally debuted the collage of clips on TikTok last week. The on-screen text read, “In your 20s, your friends will set you up on a blind date. It’s very important you go on that date.”

Each clip then showcased a snippet from Culpo and McCaffrey’s relationship, including scenes from their wedding and the running back holding their five-month-old daughter, Colette Annalise. “Go on that date 🤍,” she reiterated in the post’s caption.

Fans react

The couple tied the knot on June 29, 2024, nearly 15 months after McCaffery popped the question on April 2, 2023. The blind date led to a flourishing marriage, and commenters on the post were yearning for Culpo’s secret.

“When will this happen to me?” One user asked.

“My boyfriend and I have been together 16 years. We were also set up on a blind date! 💕,” another commenter added.

“Can your friends set me up on a blind date too?” Another fan joked.

The duo this autumn

As this sweet Instagram post shows, the pair doesn’t shy away from their admiration for one another, especially as they have entered their newest roles as mom and dad.

“I think everybody can attest to being with people who don’t allow you to soar and be the best that you can be because you’re in a situation that’s not serving you; and he, genuinely, not only supports me but inspires me and also makes me feel safe,” Culpo said in an October interview with PEOPLE. “The worst case scenario is never the worst case scenario with my career or my life in general, because I know that I’ll always have him. That’s something I don’t take for granted for a second.”

And before the NFL season commenced, McCaffrey told reporters in July that this support is matched by his wife—especially as he competes on the field. “I’m grateful for my wife. She does a great job, you know, letting me still keep football going, and working my butt off,” the athlete explained. “And so it’s been great and such a blessing.”

The family of three has been spotted on the sidelines at Levi’s Stadium throughout this season, and also celebrated their first Thanksgiving as a family last week, on Nov. 27.
