The retired NCAA gymnast-turned-content creator took to TikTok this week to show fans that the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher had officially changed his look going into the new year, trading in his typical mustache and beard combo for a baby-faced beginning to 2026.

In the humorous video, Dunne sported an all-gray ribbed lounge set while gazing into the camera lens, her eyes wide with surprise. Then, the clip cut to a shot of Skenes chatting with someone just offscreen, standing in the kitchen wearing a navy quarter-zip sweater and matching baseball cap—but without his signature facial hair. The video pivoted back to Dunne, who mouthed along to a sound clip playing overhead, which featured multiple people gasping in horror before proclaiming, “Oh my God, she’s bald! She’s bald!”

“pov: seeing your bf without facial hair for the first time,” text written over the clips declared. As reported by Sports Illustrated, Skenes has rocked some form of facial hair since at least 2023. The outlet noted the pitcher had a mustache when he was first drafted by the Pirates that year before growing out a beard in 2024, which he kept throughout 2025. Given that Dunne and Skenes began dating in mid-2023, her notation over the clip rings true.

And the content creator didn’t stop there, also unveiling the pitcher’s new look in an Instagram story celebrating the new year, featuring a photo of the two posing together at a restaurant with Skenes’s clean shave on full display. In the caption of the TikTok, Dunne confirmed her feelings about the change, penning, “Baby face cutieeee #fyp #mlb #baseball #shave.” At the time of this article’s publication, the five-second TikTok video had been viewed over 1.5 million times.
