Paige Spiranac Has Perfect Response After Unfortunate Shot During ‘Internet Invitational’

Paige Spiranac took a lighthearted approach when responding to a recent video of her on the greens.
In case you missed it, the golfer, model and current content creator—who boasts 4 million followers on Instagram and 1.1 million followers on X (formerly Twitter)—has been competing in The Internet Invitational. Hosted by Fore Play & Bob Does Sports, the event began this past Monday, Oct. 27. The brand’s official social media pages describe the event as involving “48 creators” with “more than $1 million on the line,” with episodes airing on YouTube, with the first two episodes already garnering millions of views.
However, a recent clip of Spiranac at the event featured an unfortunate moment during one of her shots—still, the social media sensation is taking it in stride.
I do want it on record that I did hit a lot of great shots. This was definitely not one of them😂 not helping the I suck at golf narrative https://t.co/fNvOvWTQh6

“FORE!”
In the short clip—which was taken from the latter half of the second episode—Spiranac lined up her shot before swinging, only for the ball to go airborne, taking a wild ride down a concrete path. The content creator yelled a quick apology as the ball flew through the air, followed by a concerned “FORE!”
She then hopped in a golf cart with Roger Steele, who was her partner for the round, chasing down the pesky ball as it evaded them. After searching for it for a moment, Spiranac “called it,” realizing the ball she had her eyes on might not even be her own. The posted excerpt was then accompanied by the quote: “Golf is hard. It’s even harder with $1.7 million on the line @PaigeSpiranac.”
The athlete joked on the original post, responding, “Golf never loves me back.” She then reposted the clip on her own account, adding, “I do want it on record that I did hit a lot of great shots. This was definitely not one of them 😂 not helping the I suck at golf narrative.” While the unlucky shot might not have been ideal for the game, Spiranac tackled the moment with her signature charisma—and also in her signature style, wearing a fashionable light gray halter top and black mini skirt from fan-favorite brand Alo Yoga.
Support from fans
Spiranac also received plenty of support from her loyal fans and followers across social media after she posted the moment, who took to her reply section on X to share some love:
“Considering where you had to hit that from based on his tee shot, that was never going to be an easy shot!” One fan wrote.
“I’m so bad I now yell FIVE...SORRY!!!” A commenter joked.
“Anyone that has any golf knowledge knows you definitely do not suck at golf,” another concluded.
You can catch episode three of The Internet Invitational this Monday, Nov. 3, and the event will run until Thursday, Nov. 13th.
