If you’re someone who has even a passing relationship with the world of fashion, you’ve likely seen one of actress Sydney Sweeney’s looks cross your social media timeline.

The 28-year-old actress first popped on fans’ radars with her minor roles in HBO’s Sharp Objects and the hit dystopian drama The Handmaid’s Tale before she was catapulted into superstardom, courtesy of her breakout performance as Cassie Howard on Euphoria. Since then, she’s starred in major movies, with lead roles in rom-coms like Anyone But You and nightmare-inducing horror films like Immaculate. For her latest project, Sweeney underwent a physical and mental transformation to play fighter Christy Martin in her biopic, for which she’s already taken home multiple awards.

Outside of her flourishing film and TV career, Sweeney is also known for her unique everyday style and incredible red-carpet looks. In many ways, fashion has become just as substantial a part of the superstar’s career as acting. With that in mind, let’s take a look back at just a few of our favorite outfits the actress has sported over the years.

Everyday ensembles

When it comes to Sweeney’s casual fashion, she often leans into a “girl next door”-style aesthetic, but with an added edge. Layering closet-staple pieces like mini skirts, trendy tops and cropped jackets, the actress’s overall vibe trends toward the attitude of the 1990s with the playfulness of the early 2000s—with a designer twist, of course.

When it comes to her everyday styling, Sweeney chooses comfort without sacrificing that special “wow factor” fans have come to expect from her looks—but if we’re talking about “wow factor,” we have to chat about her red carpet moments.

Red carpet radiance

The actress’s red carpet fashion is a fun departure from her simple but chic everyday wear. Having been featured on “Best Dressed” lists over the years, Sweeney regularly makes headlines for her daring silhouettes. Her longtime stylist, Molly Dickson—who has also worked with stars like Keke Palmer and Sadie Sink (her Instagram account is basically one big fashion mood board!)—definitely has an eye for what will stand out on Sweeney, and their collaboration has created some seriously showstopping moments over the years.

Glowing in a ballgown fit for a princess

Channeling ‘90s rock star aura

As made clear from this collection, the actress and her style team are happy to experiment with colors, shapes and fabrics, which always makes for an unforgettable final look—and keep in mind: these are just a handful of Sweeney’s countless red carpet moments from throughout her career.

Cover girl cool

Sweeney has also graced the covers of multiple magazines, typically donning a delightful outfit or two in the process. With ensembles ranging from Old Hollywood Glamour to modern muse, the actress certainly takes “cover girl cool” to the next level each time she’s featured on the front page.

Most recently, Sweeney was featured as one of the cover stars for GQ’s 2025 “Man of the Year” issue, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. According to the outlet, the actress was featured alongside stars including Hailey Bieber, Stephen Colbert, Seth Rogen, SZA, Oscar Isaac, Pusha T and Malice.

Her Christy press tour

As mentioned above, Sweeney has spent much of this fall promoting her latest project, Christy, and to simply say she has been slaying it on her press tour would be an understatement. Still, tackling the demanding role was a change of pace for the actress, who reportedly gained an impressive 30 pounds of muscle to play the real-life fighter.

When discussing the transformation, she told Variety, “I had a nutritionist work with me as well as a weight trainer and a boxing trainer. We upped my calorie intake, and I started taking a lot of protein shakes and supplements and eating everything. I ate a lot of Smuckers, a lot of PB and J sandwiches, milkshakes, kind of just constantly always eating because we were so active. I was constantly burning it all off at the same time. So keeping it all up was quite a challenge.”

For her various engagements promoting the film, Sweeney has taken a preppier approach with her fashion, with delicately patterned minis and more neutral hues taking center stage. Most notably, the actress also chopped her long blonde tresses into a chic layered bob, which made headlines given how quickly fans have become accustomed to her signature look on shows like Euphoria.

As far as other standout moments from her latest press tour, it would be impossible not to mention Sweeney’s outfit for Variety’s 2025 Power of Women event in October. Given the ultra-sheer fabric and memorable silhouette, the unique Christian Cowan gown was easily one of Sweeney’s most daring looks to date—and not just for this press tour, but of all time.

What’s next for Sweeney: upcoming projects

After a stacked 2025, Sweeney has plenty to look forward to as the year comes to a close. Next up, she’ll star alongside Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar in the upcoming film adaptation of The Housemaid, which is based on the bestselling novel by Freida McFadden. The film is currently slated to be released on Dec. 19.

She’s also been filming the highly anticipated third season of Euphoria, which is set to premiere on HBO sometime in early 2026 after shooting started earlier this year. This season of the popular drama series also promises to switch things up for the cast, with Deadline reporting that the storyline will take the characters out of high school for the first time, flashing forward for a peek into their respective adult futures.

Safe to say, we look forward to seeing more fashion-forward ensembles from the actress as her projects are released!
