Sydney Sweeney Gives Fans a Sweet ‘Pupdate’ With Candid New Photos

Sydney Sweeney stopped by Instagram on Monday, March 16, to give her 26.1 million followers an update on her adorable dog, Sully Bear. The sweet puppy has certainly grown quite a bit since we last saw him, though he’s still absolutely a “puppy”—as are all dogs, no matter their age, forever (we don’t make the rules).

In the cover image of the 18-photo carousel, the actress embraced the pup, who has clearly perfected his angles for optimized selfie-taking. Captioning the post, “pupdate ft sully bear ❤️,” the subsequent snapshots gave fans a peek into Sweeney’s life as of late, all through the eyes of her beloved pet.

In the second featured photo, the Syrn brand founder held up Sully Bear for a classic mirror selfie, and he absolutely slayed the shot with his straight-forward gaze. Other snapshots shared showed the pup riding around in a bright red shopping cart and hanging out with Sweeney as she was fitted in head-to-toe denim. There were also several of the two happily hanging out in various locations, from snow-covered terrain to the sun-soaked shoreline.

And this isn't the first time the actress has given fans a Sully-specific update. Over the last few months, the pup has made multiple appearances across her social media accounts, periodically accompanying her on film sets, photo shoots, and on her many wilderness adventures.

Sweeney adopted the German Shepherd mix back in April 2025, announcing the arrival of her fuzzy new family member via an Instagram post. “introducing sully bear ❤️,” she wrote in the caption at the time, adding, “so far in our two weeks together he’s become my set best friend, my bowling partner, my nap buddy, mutual water enthusiast, and travel companion.” And if her latest candid carousel was any indication, the two remain as inseparable as ever.

With a pet this precious, it should come as no surprise that we weren’t the only ones ready to fawn over Sully Bear’s sweet new photo set, with several of the actress’s fans and famous friends also sharing some love for the dynamic duo in her comment section.

“That’s a babyyyy 😍,” actor Darren Barnet wrote (and he’s absolutely correct, as noted in our “all dogs are puppies forever, actually” fun fact above).
