Zendaya and Robert Pattinson brought all The Drama to the March 2026 issue of Interview Magazine, and we do mean that literally.

A fashion-forward photo shoot

On Wednesday, Feb. 18, the outlet unveiled its latest cover, featuring a striking shot of the two stars posing dramatically in neutral-colored ensembles. Zendaya was styled in a look reminiscent of Bette Davis’s in the classic Old Hollywood film Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?, complete with curly pigtails and tattered tights. Meanwhile, Pattinson donned a blonde wig and fitted camisole for the shot, red lipstick smudged on his pout matching the shade on Zendaya’s lips.

And the captivating cover was only one of the many incredible photos featured in the spread, which were all taken by the talented Nadia Lee Cohen. One shared on the outlet’s official Instagram account showed Pattinson modeling a deep green, all-leather look, complete with black gloves. In another, Zendaya took the frightening motif up a notch, sporting a mask that made her look like a corporate-ready porcelain doll.

“This is devastatingly beautiful,” Apple Martin wrote in the comments under the cover reveal, referencing Pattinson’s iconic role as Edward Cullen in Twilight. Another commenter added, “This is so camp, I love it.”

Reminiscing about romance movies

Fans also had plenty to enjoy in the duo’s cover story, given that this was their first interview about the highly anticipated upcoming film, The Drama. The story sees Zendaya and Pattinson play a soon-to-be married couple whose lives are thrown into chaos after the latter discovers a shocking secret about the former. Given that romance is at the center of the film, their candid chat eventually turned to their thoughts on romance movies in general, with Zendaya asking Pattinson, “Do you prefer happy ending romances, or ones that have gut-wrenching endings?”

“I’ve thought about this. My favorite romantic movies are not romantic. They’re about breakups, and I never realized that,” Pattinson told his costar before asking if she’d seen the film Two Lovers. Zendaya confirmed she hadn’t, and Pattinson went on, adding, “Every single movie I thought was very romantic, the couple doesn’t end up together.”

The actor then flipped the question, asking Zendaya what her favorite romance movies are. While she didn’t give a specific title, she did agree that many of her favorites also have tragic endings, before (very relatably) adding, “But because it’s the holidays, I’ve been watching a lot of romcoms. Sometimes I need them to end up together ...”
