Zendaya Jokes About Tom Holland Wedding Rumors on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

The actress stopped by the late-night show to promote her upcoming film, ‘The Drama’—which is, ironically, also about a wedding.

Zendaya stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, March 16, and teased fans over those recent wedding rumors.

In case you missed it, the Golden Globe winner caused quite a stir this month when her longtime stylist and friend, Law Roach, told Access Hollywood at the Actor Awards that the actress and her fiancé, Tom Holland, had already tied the knot. “The wedding has already happened. You missed it,” Roach said on Sunday, March 1. When the outlet’s correspondent asked, “Is that true?” Roach smiled and replied, “It’s very true.”

There was then a second wave of speculation after the star was seen wearing a gold band during both Paris Fashion Week and at the Academy Awards on Sunday, March 15, where she was in attendance as a presenter. And this week, Zendaya directly acknowledged the rumors during a late-night interview, playfully poking fun at fans with an official “wedding video.”

The actress sat down with Kimmel for a candid chat to promote her upcoming film The Drama, in which she co-stars alongside Robert Pattinson. In a bit of full-circle irony, the film is also about a wedding, and—as the title alludes—all the “drama” that comes with it. For the interview, Zendaya wore a beautifully flowy, floral-printed, high-neck dress in shades of pink, green and this year’s most popular shade, ice blue.

About five minutes into the 13-minute video, the late-night host broached the subject, noting “rumors online” that she’d already married the Spider-Man star. “Really?” Zendaya teased, “I haven’t seen any of that!” Kimmel then asked about “AI wedding photos” he’d heard about that looked “very realistic.” Zendaya noted that multiple people in her life have also been “fooled” by them, adding, “While I was out and about in real life, people are like, ‘Oh my god, your wedding photos are gorgeous!’ And I was like, ‘Babe, they’re AI. They’re not real.’”

Kimmel then revealed that Zendaya had a video to share with the public that she hoped would “clear the confusion.” Humorously, it was an edited clip from her upcoming A24 film, showing her in a wedding gown and Pattinson in a tux—except a photo of Holland’s head had been superimposed over Pattinson’s body. The live audience laughed as Zendaya played it off as if the video were “real footage” from their rumored wedding day.

“im crying not her editing tom’s head on robert’s head 😂,” one fan wrote in the comment section on YouTube. Another added, “She is so smart to answer the questions without even revealing anything.”

While fans will still have to wait to see any potential photos from the actress’s alleged big day, you can see her and Pattinson walk down the aisle when The Drama hits theaters April 3!
