It turns out that Brie Larson is just like the rest of us, as she was moved to tears upon meeting her celebrity hero, Jennifer Lopez, on Sunday. The Captain Marvel actress, 34, and the Selena star, 54, ran into each other on the red carpet at the 81st annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Jan. 7, and the heartwarming moment is quickly going viral.

“Oh my God, oh my God, I’m gonna cry,” Larson gushed as soon as Entertainment Tonight reporter Kevin Frazier pointed out that Lopez was standing right behind her.

Larson’s fangirl moment continued to escalate as Lopez walked up the steps and stood right in front of the Lessons in Chemistry star. She was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television for her work in the Apple TV+ program.

“You mean so much to me!” Larson cried. “I saw Selena and it made me want to be an actor. You’ve always meant so much to me.”

Lopez embraced Larson and shared that she’s “a huge fan” of The Marvels actress’s work, then declared that Larson’s praise was nearly moving her to tears.

The sweet moment was shared to ET’s YouTube account and has since been viewed more than 92,000 times. Plenty of fans have chimed in to the comments section to remark over the adorable interaction.

“I can tell that Brie is a huge fan of JLo when she mentioned the work ethic part. No celeb has a work ethic like JLo,” one person noted. “She works so hard and that is honestly so inspiring.”

“Jennifer is a true legend ❤️,” another user added. “this is such sweet moment ❤️.”

“Jennifer has a really humble personality,” someone else pointed out.

“such a sweet moment,” an additional fan cheered. “it’s wonderful to see artists being inspired and appreciating each other.”
