Cowboy Barbie and disco queen costumes.

Sixtine as Cowgirl Barbie and Margot Zamet as a disco queen.

It’s only the first week of October, but Halloween will be here before you know it. Rather than waiting until the last minute to throw together a costume for the various parties you have on your social calendar this year, take it easy on yourself and plan ahead.

Luckily, we’re here to help! The SI Swimsuit fashion team hosted an Amazon Live event with 2023 rookie Sixtine on the evening of Oct. 5, and the session is packed with seasonal costumes that are not only cute and easy, they’re also incredibly affordable.

Below, find three of our favorite Halloween costumes featured during the livestream, which are all less than $50.

UNDERWRAPS Women’s 1970s Costume Disco Dress, $22.80 (amazon.com)

1970s disco costume

A classic Halloween costume, you can never go wrong dressing up as a dancing diva from the ’70s. The mini dress comes with a cute white belt, as pictured on SI Swimsuit fashion editor Margot Zamet, above. All you need to add are some white gogo boots to complete the look.

“I feel like, to be honest, you could do this up and wear this out to something else, too,” Zamet added.

Naywig Cowgirl Outfit ’70s ’80s Hippie Disco Costume, $36.99 to $41.99 (amazon.com)

Cowgirl Barbie costume

Likely a popular ensemble this year, no one pulls off Cowgirl Barbie better than Sixtine. “I feel like a lot of people are gonna go as Barbie this year,” the model stated, while noting that she too will be dressing as the doll this Halloween.

The costume comes with a cropped vest, flared pants and a scarf all in bright, Barbiecore pink. Just add a white western-inspired hat and you’re good to go.

Jennifer Check Cheer Costume Women’s High School Purple Jennifer’s Body Costume, $43.99 to $48 (amazon.com)

In honor of 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue cover model, pay homage to Jennifer Check from the ’09 horror-comedy film, Jennifer’s Body. Not included with the purple-and-orange getup: fake blood to artfully drip down your chin.

Plus, as Zamet noted during the livestream, you can never go wrong with a classic cheerleader costume for Halloween. Happy shopping!
