Angel Reese Drops Media Day Pics Before Her First Unrivaled Game of the 2026 Season

Grab your popcorn, because the two-time WNBA All-Star suits up for her sophomore Unrivaled debut tomorrow.

Angel Reese is primed to hit the hardwood with Unrivaled’s Rose Basketball Club tomorrow, Feb. 20, when the 5-6 squad hosts the 3-8 Hive Basketball Club at 8:45 p.m. ET. However, the Chicago Sky forward, who notched a second All-Star nod during her second WNBA season in 2025, tried on her threads days before the Friday night matchup. She took to both Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) to showcase the stunning results.

“BARBIE HOOPS ARE BACK! 🌹,” Reese wrote with an eight-slide carousel shared to Instagram yesterday, Feb. 18. In each slide, she donned Rose BC’s teal uniform and showcased a pair of her signature sneakers with Reebok, called the Angel Reese 1, in the post’s final two frames.

“Literally stunning, WOW!!! 🩷🩷🩷,” Minnesota Lynx guard DiJonai Carrington gushed underneath the collection of snaps.

“😍😍😍😍 yesssss👏🔥,” Love Island USA Season 7 star Jana Craig chimed in.

“Let’s go 5!!!! 😍," Love Island USA Season 7 star Olandria Carthen cheered. Reese quipped in response, “@olandria so i need you in my jersey at a game soon boo 😉.”

Reese originally joined Rose BC during Unrivaled’s inaugural season in 2025. She tallied 13.3 points and 12.4 rebounds per game and led all players in the 3 vs. 3 league in the latter category. The former NCAA Champion also scored Unrivaled’s first-ever Defensive Player of the Year title.

The athlete’s arrival comes weeks into Unrivaled’s 2026 season, which originally commenced on Jan. 5. She kept plenty busy during the first weeks of the calendar year—making international stops in Berlin, London and, most recently, Sydney, Australia. She also embarked on a new acting endeavor, as a member of the second season of The Hunting Wives.

“Yes, everybody knows me as a basketball player first, but they’re, like, so many other things that I can do. And also, I put 100% effort in work into all of the things,” Reese said on her multifaceted career in an early December episode of her podcast Unapologetically Angel.

In conversation with Grammy Award-winning artist Victoria Monét, the Maryland native later delved into her mindset on expanding her horizons, despite the outside noise. She shared that she has heard comments such as, “She should be just a model. She should only be a basketball player. She should stop podcasting [...],” before ultimately declaring that she is choosing the opposite: “I can do anything I put my mind to.”
