Anya Taylor-Joy’s ‘Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ Press Tour Style Is Out of This World

Anya Taylor-Joy is the latest celebrity to join the themed-press tour dressing craze, and we’re giving her style a gold star (cue the Super Mario Bros. “Star” theme).
The actress has been busy traveling the world over the last few weeks while promoting The Super Mario Galaxy Movie—the highly anticipated sequel to 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Being that Taylor-Joy voices Princess Peach in the animated film, she appears to be working with her stylist, Ryan Hastings, to translate the beloved character’s iconic pink looks into more modern ensembles, and to say we’re in love with the results would be underselling our feelings.
In fact, it might be best if you just take a look at a few of her most recent looks for yourself!
Tokyo Photocall
We have one word for you: HAT. Just as Mario’s beloved princess has her crown, Taylor-Joy arrived at the photocall for the film in Tokyo, Japan, with a luxe accessory atop her head. Posing for snapshots with the cast, this was the first outfit from the press tour that caught our eye, hitting us in the heart like a blue shell and spinning us into an obsession. From the chic tube-style top and mini skirt to the plush-looking fabric and muted pink shade, this red carpet moment was pure Princess Peach perfection. (Also, did we mention the HAT?!)
Kyoto Premiere
The incredible silhouettes didn’t stop in Tokyo, with the actress styling this unique floral number for the movie’s premiere in Japan. According to WWD, the sparkling dress was “a custom variation on a Dior design from the French luxury fashion house’s spring 2026 couture collection.” The structured skirt added plenty of volume to the look, while the shimmering white fabric, complete with dangling pink cherry blossoms, set the sweet dress apart from the usual red carpet fare.
F1 Grand Prix
While stopping by the F1 Japan Suzuka race with the rest of the cast, Taylor-Joy majorly switched up her press tour style. Trading in the soft pinks and creams, the actress instead leaned fully into the Super Mario Galaxy vibes with this vibrant leather outfit. The multicolor panels on the piece definitely channeled Rainbow Road vibes, and the low-cut, coordinating trousers added a flair of early-2000s cool.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is slated to hit theaters on Wednesday, April 1, and we can’t wait to see what Princess Peach-inspired outfit Taylor-Joy sports next. No matter what she wears, we’re almost positive it’ll be worthy of a coveted One-Up Mushroom (or at the very least, a spot on our 2026 red carpet favorites list)!
