When it comes to the latest and greatest fashion trends, there are plenty that are adopted without question. For example, the color of the fall was undoubtedly red. At the same time, there are bound to be a few fashion movements that are somewhat polarizing to the general public. One such trend? Split-toe shoes.

While we spotted 2016 SI Swimsuit Issue cover star Ashley Graham wearing two different pairs of split-toe boots during the Formula 1 Grand Prix events last November, it appears that fellow SI Swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker is also a fan of the quirky footwear. The actress posted a pic of herself wearing split-toe Mary Jane flats with white socks to Instagram on Feb. 7.

“I can give you a toe hug,” Decker, who was featured on the cover of the 2010 issue, quipped in her caption of her footwear choice.

The comments section included mixed reactions to Decker’s split-toe shoes, including feedback from those who loved them and others among her 734,000 followers who were unsure.

“Feeling personally victimized by this shoe choice,” one person noted, to which Decker responded “you could have a pair and we could interlock big toes.”

“Love the shoes ❤❤,” someone else gushed.

“I love you and I think you’re an icon and I just don’t get these shoes 😩,” another user added.

Others inquired whether or not the shoes are comfortable, while some fans wanted to know where Decker purchased them. While the jury is still out on this trend, it seems that at least two SI Swimsuit stars are fully embracing it.
