The 8 Best Dressed at the VMAs: Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift and More

Hollywood stars hit the red carpet in several incredible looks last night.

The past two weeks have been somewhat of a dream for fashion lovers. From the numerous runways and parties of New York Fashion Week to the red carpet of the MTV Video Music Awards, stars are out in good form early this fall.

On Sept. 12, pop music stars and other celebrities stepped onto the VMAs red carpet in the most glamorous high-fashion looks—and they did not disappoint. While all of the outfits were carefully crafted and beautiful, we have a handful of favorites that we can’t help but share.

Below are our eight favorite outfits from last night’s red carpet.

Taylor Swift

The pop icon sported a stunning button-up black ruched gown with a high side slit and an asymmetrical neckline. Paired with black heels and a stunning mixed metal stack of necklaces, Swift was the epitome of red carpet-ready.

Selena Gomez

Gomez arrived in style, opting for a textured floral red dress, featuring a sweetheart neckline, floral fringe and a high side slit. She paired the glamorous dress with matching red heels.

Cardi B

Cardi B didn’t sport just any silver metallic look—she wore the most elaborate, fabulous textured and strapless body-hugging gown for the event. She paired it with matching oversized metallic bracelets.

Olivia Rodrigo

Like Cardi B, Rodrigo opted for a silver metallic look, but a bit more toned down. In a glittery backless gown that bespoke simple elegance and matching silver heels, she stunned on the red carpet.

Anitta

Anitta took the runway in a fabulous black mesh number with a baby pink structured neckline. She paired the floor-length gown with vibrant mismatched earrings and a chic black headband.

Kelsea Ballerini

Ballerini opted for a gorgeous backless red gown, featuring a long train and front cut-out. The musician rounded out the chic look with a series of oversized gold bracelets.

Shakira

In a gold metallic floor-length number with side cut-outs and an open back, Shakira looked runway-ready and glamorous.

Emily Ratajkowski

In line with current trends, Ratajkowski opted for a mesh dress, composed of a strappy green halter neck and a patterned skirt.
