In a great start to Women’s History Month, Brooke Shields and Grier Henchy are proving there is no better plus-one than your mom or daughter. The duo attended the opening of the Centurion New York on Thursday and shared a sweetly coordinated fashion moment. Shields wore a lavender jumpsuit featuring spaghetti straps and a small under-bust cutout, while Henchy rocked a bright orange blazer and pants set with nothing underneath the jacket.

The 57-year old sported bouncy curls, while the 16-year-old’s dark brown hair was styled pin-straight. The two posed arm in arm at the American Express event.

Shields shares her two daughters, Grier and Rowan, with her husband of 22 years, Chris Henchy. Rowan, 19, is in her sophomore year at Wake Forest University.

The 58-year-old director and Shields met in 1999 and were engaged the following year. They tied the knot in April 2001 at a gorgeous estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

“I’m thankful that [my mom, Teri Shields] really supported me in college when I was homesick and said, ‘You’re not a quitter, don’t give up, you’ll never forgive yourself.’ But I watched her slowly not know who she was without me,” Shields said in an interview with People. “I want my daughters to know that I am fully me, I am not their responsibility. I carried the responsibility of keeping my mother alive. It became not healthy in a sense because there was no independence for either of us. I made a real concerted effort to make sure that my girls didn’t have that fear when they were alone.”
