Bydee has once again bottled the essence of a season—and this time, it's sun-soaked, slow-living bliss. The Australia-based swimwear brand just dropped its Sel De Mer collection, a breezy ode to sub-soaked days, twilight dips and the magic of an endless summer.

The new release channels what founder and creative director Dessy Hairis calls “salty hair, balmy skin, barefoot island ease with an elevated touch,” captured beautifully through hand-painted prints, nostalgic textures and dreamy styling inspired by the Seychelles.

An island-hopping palette

Each of the three distinct, unique featured prints in Sel De Mer carries its own mood.

  • Zavanna is raw and romantic, a cocoa-toned print with softened shapes that resemble pressed petals in a travel journal. The hand-crocheted edges and hanging bead details add movement and charm to standouts like the Palermo and Badalona tops.
  • Solara leans painterly and ethereal. With sun-warmed oranges melting into soft green hues, this print feels like walking home from the beach at golden hour, skin still warm from the day.
  • Azania delivers the spice. Bold, mosaic-like patterns nod to island markets and hand-painted tiles, pulsing with energy and soul.
  • Cacao, a deep chocolate crochet, is all about texture. With intricate beading and a mix of stitching techniques, it’s equal parts sultry and sophisticated—perfect for poolside lounging or starlit resort dinners.

New styles, signature details

This collection debuts a few fresh silhouettes, including the Kefalonia Top and Corfu Bottom, both featuring an eye-catching gathered crossover design. The Mahé Bottom puts a cheekier spin on the bestselling Sienna, while the Antibes introduces moderate coverage for those who want a little more versatility.

Every piece is finished with a charming matte gold crab charm—exclusive to Sel De Mer—and many are adorned with wooden and resin beads, asymmetrical cowrie shells or intricate tie embellishments. As always, these flourishes feel intentional, never overdone.

Jewelry with a sea-glass glow

No Bydee collection is complete without jewelry, and Sel De Mer delivers. This drop introduces delicate earrings, necklaces, waist chains and bracelets in 14k gold-plated brass, some featuring natural Peridot stones. The subtle color variations in each stone make every piece feel uniquely yours.

“Creating Sel De Mer and bringing it to life in the Seychelles post Euro Summer was pure magic,” Hairis, who launched the brand in 2013, inspired by her Mediterranean roots and love for travel, added in a press release. “Every element, from the prints to the location to the intricate details, felt like an ode to the vibe I want Bydee to bring to our Australian shores this Summer.”
