Cynthia Erivo Embraces Autumn’s Top Color Trend in Dreamy Gown for Honorary Event

Less than two weeks after Wicked: For Good hit theaters nationwide, one of its leading ladies, Cynthia Eviro, was honored with her latest award in the midst of the film’s raging success at the box office. The 38-year-old Grammy, Daytime Emmy and Tony Award winner (per the LA Times) was honored with the Kirk Douglas Award on Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and stunned in one of the fall season’s most popular shades.

Eviro arrived at the event in a dynamic cocoa-brown gown that draped from her frame, which was credited by her longtime stylist Jason Bolden as a custom Danielle Frankel number. The sleek garment featured an asymmetrical cowl neckline, a matching satin scarf and a flowing train. Her ensemble was completed with Marco Bicego jewelry and an emerald clutch with scale-like detailing from British label Mulberry England.

“I always think of awards like this as things that come at the end of a career, and I think I’m not even in the middle of mine,” Eviro exclaimed on the honor, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Fellow members of the Wicked family, including director Jon M. Chu and producer Marc Platt, were present to cheer on the actress’s latest feat in person. “I thank you for this because it reminds me, yes, of how far I’ve come, but also of how much more I have to go. And this is a beautiful pit stop on the way.”
