Ellie Thumann, a rookie in the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue, recently participated in a Black Swan-themed photoshoot that we’re totally fawning over. The 21-year-old was photographed in a balletcore studio session by Marina Hunter, and the photographer shared a carousel of pics from the session to Instagram on Oct. 15.

In each of the snapshots, Thumann wore a light pink skirt over a baby pink spaghetti strap bodysuit, which was accented with pink tights, leg warmers and, of course, ballet shoes. The influencer wore her hair pulled away from her face in a half-up style tied back with ribbon. For glam, Thumann appeared to be sporting minimal makeup, and opted for a fresh face with shimmery highlighter and a glossy pink lip.

“𝓘 𝔀𝓪𝓼 𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓯𝓮𝓬𝓽 🎀 Black Swan pt 1 with @elliethumann,” Hunter wrote in her caption, referencing the 2010 psychological thriller starring Natalie Portman.

In the carousel’s cover photo, Thumann held herself up with her palms while hovering above the ground in front of a pair of baby pink curtains. She was photographed from above in the second, while additional pics were creatively styled to look like a scrapbook with heart-shaped doilies and silver star stickers adorning them.

“The edits are incredible!!🩷✨,” one of the Charleston, N.C.-based photographer’s followers noted in the comments.

“Poetic innocence 🙌,” someone else observed. “love these💯.”

“this is so incredible wow !!! 😍,” another person added.

Four days before dropping the photos, Hunter shared a behind the scenes video of Thumann’s photoshoot on Instagram as a teaser.

“i literally have been watching ellie since i was in like 6th grade and now my favorite photographer/artist is working w her !?!?” one person exclaimed. “IM SO PROUD OF YOU MARINA !!!”
