Emily Ratajkowski and Kendall Jenner Declare Colorful Belted Midi Coats Officially in for Fall

The models are adding personality to their otherwise neutral New York City street style.

While the model-off-duty look often limits itself to neutrals and minimalist pieces, both Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski are amping it up this fall.

The reality TV star and High Low With EmRata podcast host were separately spotted out and about in New York City in various versions of the belted trench coat—and the models both opted for fun, yet understated, shades.

The mom of one was photographed with her 2-year-old son, Sylvester, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Sebastian Bear McClard, on Oct. 9. She donned baggy black pants and a high-neck black top paired with scrunched brown boots and—the star of the show—a burnt orange-brown leather midi coat. The 32-year-old accessorized with a black tote bag and gold hoops and held her toddler’s hand as the two strolled through the city.

The 818 founder, on the other hand, chose a pastel blue trench number for her Big Apple escapade. She also rocked a short black-on-black ensemble underneath her outerwear, including loafers and crew socks. The 27-year-old walked around Midtown on set of her Calvin Klein photoshoot, in which she posed against and splashed around NYC public fountains.
