Both her seasonal activewear and her trip out west have us inspired.

With a multitude of season-specific activities (think trips to pumpkin patches and the farmers market or outdoor fires and roasting s’mores), getting yourself into the fall mindset isn’t a tall order. As temperatures cool, enjoying each and every one of these various seasonal activities feels like more of a necessity than simply a desire.

Canadian tennis professional Genie Bouchard knows this well and is spending her off-season from professional play in an appropriate way. The 29-year-old took a recent trip to Aspen, Colo., with her newly revealed boyfriend, Jack Brinkley-Cook. Their fall trip has featured hikes through the forests with snow falling around them as they’ve enjoyed the idyllic vistas of the western United States.

But, most importantly, it has featured Bouchard’s best fall athleisure. In a reel that she shared to her Instagram from the trip, the athlete donned a pair of black-and-white plaid leggings, a simple sweatshirt and a black cropped puffer coat for an afternoon hike with Brinkley-Cook. Her simple, yet chic, outdoor attire proved the importance of cultivating activewear fit for the cooling temperatures.

“Aspen in the fall >>>,” she captioned the sweet recap of her scenic fall trip. “The best 🍁❤️,” her boyfriend added in the comment section.

The pair are certainly getting into the spirit of the season with their trip out west—and we don’t blame them. With cooling temperatures, we’re thinking it’s high time to book our own mountain getaways to enjoy the scenery and the peaceful early snowfall
