Hailey Bieber Shares Beauty Advice She Would Give Her Teenage Self, Favorite Skincare Ingredient

The Rhode founder has learned a lot from her mother and from being in the industry over the past few years.

Hailey Bieber knows a thing or two about skincare. If her glowing, radiant and clear complexion isn't proof enough, take a look at the award-winning Rhode brand, currently comprised of three carefully-curated products that are typically sold out despite multiple restocks.

The 26-year-old dished skincare secrets and tips in a video with The Sunday Times Style.

“The best beauty tip my mom passed on to me is never neglect moisturizing your body,” the model began. “Ever since I was a really little kid, I can always remember her just like slathering me head-to-toe in moisturizer all over my body and I feel like she really instilled that in me.”

As a teenager, Bieber used to over-pluck her eyebrows and said if she could go back in time to tell her younger self one piece of beauty advice, it would be to put down the tweezers. She added that her favorite skincare ingredient (at the moment) is ceramides because of how “soothing, hydrating and protective” they are for the skin.

“My best makeup tip that I ever got is from Pat McGrath. It was the way that she would put foundation on her hands first and like rub it together and press it into the skin,” she continued. “As soon as I saw her do that for the first time and saw people on her team doing that for the first time, I found it to be such an interesting tip that really stuck with me.”

Bieber noted that she is constantly asked what her favorite Rhode product is and it’s simply impossible for her to choose.

“The whole idea of having this kind of curated, edited line of essentials is so that there aren’t too many things to choose from and all of them can be your favorite at once,” she explained. “But I can’t leave the house without my peptide lip treatment.”
