Hailey Bieber’s Ethereal, Shimmery Manicure Is the Look to Try Now

The social media personality has introduced an airier element to the world of winter nails.

We all know velour has been seeing somewhat of a resurgence in recent years. It’s no longer simply the material of the Juicy Couture tracksuits of our youth. It’s become a popular material for decor and home goods—think pillows and throws—and clothing alike. Its appeal, where we’re concerned, lies in its shimmer. In the light, the material has a way of glittering that is utterly mesmerizing.

But we’re not really here to talk about velour. We’re here to talk about what we might call the velour of manicures: a shimmery, almost ethereal shade that social media personality Hailey Bieber has made somewhat of a staple in recent weeks.

With her sense of style, we have no doubt she’s in tune with the trends. She knows a bright red is hot—both in fashion and beauty, in dress and manicure form. But she’s not buying into the moodier tones right now. Bieber is airing on the side of light and glittery.

She first debuted the slightly shimmery light pink shade alongside a December look that she described as “sugarplum.” She wore a pink bralette and a creamy sequined mini skirt, all of which she complemented with a the shiny pale pink nails.

But that wasn’t the end to her run with the look. She brought the barely-there shade of shimmery pink to the set of her Rhode calendar photo shoot, and posed with her glossy nails on display.

If Bieber is our muse (and she is), there is only one way to go nail-wise for the rest of winter: pale pink and sparkly.
