Jenna Ortega’s reign just won’t let up!

From radiant red carpets to intimate interviews, it feels as though the actress has been everywhere this summer—and most recently, she added the cover of Vogue México and Latin America to her growing list.

The cover of the magazine’s September 2025 issue features the actress wearing a sophisticated white corset top with a loose silhouette. She pairs this with a black skirt and wears a black bow in her hair to match, all of which comes together to give off a soft gothic cottagecore aesthetic. Her lethal face card is at the front and center, giving the shot a dosage of “It Girl” energy that cannot be beat.

With Vogue México and Latin America, Ortega opened up about the moment she knew she wanted to be an actress and how dedicated she was to making her dreams become her reality.

“I felt like if I didn’t act, I was going to get sick. Honestly, I don’t think I knew what acting was,” she told the magazine. “I come from a family of very stubborn women. So I called my mom to tell her I wanted to do this. She was adamant about not letting me, and I was even more adamant, saying, ‘If you don’t let me, I’ll be mad at you forever.’”

Fortunately, her stubbornness paid off, as she has become one of the most popular actresses of this generation despite being just 22 years old. And—although she has starred in many roles already—she is best known for her portrayal of Wednesday Addams in the Netflix original series Wednesday. The way she brought the beloved character back to life has garnered tons of critical acclaim. But for Ortega, she doesn’t do it for the praise. Rather, she does it because it brings her a sense of comfort.

“Because [Wednesday]’s such a comforting character to me, and because I know her so well and have spent so much time with her, I was ready to go. I remember doing the first take and feeling it, knowing we were safe, in good hands.”

Beyond acting, Ortega also takes pride in her heritage as someone of Puerto Rican and Mexican descent. No matter how famous she becomes, she will never forget her background and the experiences that moulded her into the person she is today.

“It’s a fundamental part of my identity,” Ortega said of her culture. “I think these kinds of things don’t go away or change. I’m very close to my family and my upbringing—I’m from California, so my community, which is predominantly Latinx, was my childhood. It’s just what I know.”

With her constantly chasing after her dreams and perfecting her craft, Ortega is more than ready to see what the future has in store—after all, her story has only just begun.

“I’m actually fine right now,” Ortega said of her current state of mind. “For the first time in a long time, I’m clearer-minded and more confident about where I want to go with my life and my work, and I’m really excited about all of that.”
