Years after skincare brand COSRX’s bestselling snail mucin product first went viral, the hydrating serum is making it’s rounds again on TikTok for you pages and in supermodels’s top shelf.

The latest celebrity to hop on the trend is Josephine Skriver, and she’s not afraid to admit the video-based platform inspired her to purchase the product.

The Denmark native and Los Angeles resident shared her morning process recently, and said that the light-weight essence, enriched with 96.3% skin-boosting ingredient snail secretion filtrate, is a staple in her everyday routine, and helps a lot with her dry skin.

The non-sticky product is best applied onto already damp skin, and absorbs quickly, leaving no residue and creating a natural glow from within look. Skriver likes to apply a facial mist toner as the step before, to wet her skin in preparation for the snail mucin.

“I’m obsessed with this,” the 30-year-old shared. “This is TikTok’s influence. It really works if you’re hydrated already. … It feels a little weird.”

She was open about how the slimy, slightly thick texture is unlike other serums, but it applies very smoothly and soaks right into the skin. The mom of one likes to give herself a quick massage using her knuckles after, before finishing her routine with eye cream, moisturizer and sunscreen.

The Korean skincare product a no. 1 bestseller on Amazon’s “facial serums” category and also targets dull skin and fine lines.
