Kate Hudson is back with another stunning red carpet look—and she’s the latest fashion-forward celebrity to hop on to the barbiecore trend.

The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star wore a gorgeous fuchsia gown to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party on Sunday. The dress featured a plunging neckline, mermaid silhouette and extravagant puffy and textured sleeves. Her dark blonde locks were tied back into a high bun with face-framing pieces left out and loosely curled.

The mom of three was styled by Sophie Lopez, who paired the Tamara Ralph couture gown with Giuseppe Zanotti heels. She kept the jewelry to a minimum, revealing her collarbones and saving the attention for the dramatic dress. Hudson, who has been teasing an album, wore a few silver rings, including her engagement band from soon-to-be-husband Danny Fujikawa.

Hudson’s latest film, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at this year’s Oscars but lost to Women Talking. In 2001, Hudson was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for the iconic film Almost Famous.

“I’ve been at this for two decades. I’ve had moments that have felt so elevated, and I have moments that have felt very low,” Hudson said candidly in an interview with Vanity Fair. “You learn not to listen to any of it. In terms of fear, being driven by fear, that’s never really been the way I move through life. I just want to do good work, always. I don’t care what’s going on on the outside. I just want to make sure that I’m doing all of it for me, for the director, and for the sake of a good story—I’m putting my best foot forward.”

She added that she “got into this industry to play everything,” and doesn’t want to be pigeonholed into the rom-com genre, where there isn’t always “enough room on the screen for the female star.”

The Bride Wars actress noted that she has an appreciation for the genre and loves that she has gotten the chance to appear in impactful films that went on to become classics.

“I want to honor the genre, instead of signing on to do it because that’s what people think I should be doing,” she explained about where she is in her career now. “I want to do the right ones, and those scripts don’t come up very often.”
