Everyone’s favorite celebrity makeup artist Mary Phillips is back with another tutorial, and this one might be her most simple and easy to recreate one yet.

The glam guru, who is responsible for pretty much all of Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber’s glowy and gorgeous signature red carpet, modeling and campaign moments, shared her take on the “French girl makeup.” Phillips is also the mastermind behind the underpainting technique, which went viral on TikTok last year.

Her version of the subtle Parisian look involves little to no eye makeup, a minimal and fresh glass skin base, rosy blush placed up high on the cheekbones, and the star of the show, a cool-toned mauve matte lip.

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Matte Resistance Liquid Lipstick in “Major Crush,” $10.97 (amazon.com)

“my version of French girl makeup: bare eyes and a cool lip 🇫🇷👄 wearing @lorealparis matte resistance lipstick in ‘major crush’,” she captioned an IG carousel of her time in France, with a cover photo showing off the makeup look and her expert skills.

“Stunner!!!” Nancy Twine commented.

“You’re stunning Mary 😍,” Melanie Marris agreed

“*immediately throws away all my mascaras*,” one fan chimed.

“Instacarts the lipstick from cvs…,” another wrote.

“Très belle Mary! 😍,” someone added. The compliment, written in French. translates to “very beautiful.”

“You always want to think about where the sun hits you,” Phillips said about the high blush placement in another IG video with hairstylist Jen Atkin. “You’re going to notice such a big difference in how much your face feels like lifted.”
