Red may be the color of the season, but for model Lauren Chan, this fall has been all about black-and-white outfits. The Canadian has sprung for classic neutrals on several occasions, from New York Fashion Week event appearances to everyday street style.

While each and every one has been a look we wouldn’t mind replicating ourselves this season, we we’re especially enamored with the handful of sheer outfits that she has sported in recent weeks and months. Chan shared a series of her favorite black-and-white fall fashion outfits thus far on her Instagram on Oct. 6, and we just can’t get over the sheer pieces.

One outfit featured a high-neck sheer dress, which Chan paired with a black bralette and a chic black blazer on top. She added black high heels and a black handbag for her afternoon out in the city. We were likewise obsessed with another more casual look involving a sheer bodysuit and shoulder shrug paired with the cutest tailored cargo pants.

Though it’s fall, the weather remains warm enough to show some skin. Whether that means a mini skirt, shorts or a sheer piece like Chan’s, it’s best to take advantage of the opportunity while it lasts. Soon enough, winter weather will be upon us, and we’ll pack these items away in exchange for long pants and thick sweaters. Follow Chan’s lead while you can and incorporate mesh, sheer styles into your fall closet.
