Lauren Chan Stuns in Strapless Brown Tube Top, Khakis and Vintage Sunglasses

Lauren Chan is loving tube tops. The 2023 SI Swimsuit rookie opted for a perfect warm New York City fall outfit featuring a brown strapless SKIMS bodysuit in the shade “cocoa.” She paired the top with carpenter-style mid-rise straight-leg khaki pants, dark tortoise shell rectangular sunglasses and a caramel crocodile leather shoulder bag.

The former Glamour fashion features editor knows a thing or two about putting together an outfit. She’s also the founder of plus-size sustainable clothing brand Henning, which was acquired by Universal Standard this spring.

The Canadian model has taken a step back from her journalist and entrepreneurial skills to focus on modeling. She recently walked the runway for Christian Siriano’s 15th anniversary show during New York Fashion Week.

“Since Henning was acquired [by Universal Standard], I am relishing not being in charge of everything. When you run a business, you are everything from the intern to the CEO and everything is your problem to fix,” she told SI Swimsuit. “I think that being in this chapter where I’m focusing on modeling and podcasting and broadcast, I am enjoying the parts of work that I like the best, like speaking and connecting and social [media] and the art of fashion. Running a business is very tiring, so I’m happy to be a cog in the wheel in a lot of ways.”
