Actresses Rachel Brosnahan and Hunter Schafer have both rocked the bold look in recent weeks.

A little black dress is a closet staple, but lately, we’ve noticed that several A-listers have been elevating the essential in a major way: with sculptural, three-dimensional neckpieces.

First, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress Rachel Brosnahan wore a stunning black David Koma dress with an asymmetrical neckline and silver-and-purple floral neckpiece to a Vanity Fair and Amazon MGM Studios party in Los Angeles on Jan. 6. The 33-year-old star’s stylist, Alexandra Mandelkorn, opted to pair the showstopping dress with strappy pointed-toe stilettos, and opted to keep other jewelry minimal to allow the statement piece to really shine.

Brosnahan and members of her glam team, including makeup artist Lisa Aharon, each shared variations of the incredible look on Instagram following the event earlier this month.

While we’ve been thinking about the amazing ensemble ever since, actress Hunter Schafer has also been occupying our thoughts ever since she rocked a similar aesthetic during Paris Fashion Week.

The 25-year-old star of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes attended the Schiaparelli haute couture spring-summer 2024 fashion show on Jan. 22, clad in a stunning black dress by the Italian fashion designer. Similarly to Brosnahan’s dress, it also featured a floral neckpiece, this time in a stunning gold metal. Schafer also wore her hair up to allow her bold and beautiful neckline to shine, and opted for a slicked-back bun for the occasion.

With their stunning outfits, both women demonstrated an incredibly fashion-forward formula: moving forward, an LBD with a plunging neckline that’s adorned with a floral piece, paired with minimal accessories and an up-do, makes for an incredibly chic look.
