Leni Klum’s Moody Take on Barbiecore Is the Perfect Way to Bring the Trend Into Fall

Take a cue from the 19-year-old model’s recent look in New York City.

Leni Klum attended a Dior event during New York Fashion Week that has us reimagining the ultra-trendy Barbiecore aesthetic for fall. The 19-year-old model, who is the daughter of supermodel Heidi Klum, shared the ensemble she wore to the Sept. 7 event on Instagram, and we’re totally floored.

Klum wore a pink-and-black knit sweater tank top, which she paired with incredible pants with magenta, deep purple and green vertical stripes. She accessorized with a tiny pink Dior handbag and opted for peep-toe shoes. Makeup artist Tobi Henney appropriately chose a face full of Dior Beauty products, including lots of lashes, rosy blush and a pink lip. Joeri Rouffa, Klum’s hairstylist, gave the model an incredibly voluminous blowout, which she styled with a deep side part in her IG pics.

@diorbeauty tonight was so special 💗,” Klum, who is a Dior Beauty brand ambassador, wrote in her caption on Thursday evening. She was photographed sitting on a set of outdoor stairs in the first snap, while she playfully misted herself with perfume in the second image.

“😍,” mom Heidi wrote in her daughter’s comments section, lovingly giving the look her stamp of approval.

“THE MAKEUP LOOK: ADORABLE,” a fan applauded.

“obsessed with youuuu,” someone else noted.

“Absolutely gorgeous 😍😍😍,” another follower gushed.

We’re taken with Klum’s autumn-appropriate interpretation of Barbiecore. To achieve a similar vibe, incorporate a few darker shades into your wardrobe over the coming weeks while still letting pops of hot pink remain. Consider taking a page out of Klum’s book and letting a brightly colored top or bag be the focal point of your ensemble with otherwise muted hues throughout.
