Everyone can go home—Lindsay Lohan owns the color lilac now, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it!

Okay, this is clearly an exaggeration—there’s still plenty of purple to go around—but it’s not an exaggeration to say the actress looked drop-dead gorgeous in her lilac gown for the London premiere of Freakier Friday this week.

Honoring the original 2003 movie, Lohan’s purple gown was a reimagining of the same dress her character Anna wore during Tess’s (Jamie Lee Curtis) wedding in Freaky Friday.

Lohan’s look consisted of a sparkling floor-length gown crafted from a bejeweled lilac fabric with silver embellishments placed throughout the upper bodice, mid-section and hemline. The bodycon style of the dress was expertly tailored to fit within modern style trends while keeping a classic silhouette. Then this ensemble took things a step further with the subtle yet sophisticated flounce of the skirt, as well as the halter shape of the neckline.

A piece this stylish needed fire makeup to bring everything together for a stunning final look, and the actress met this requirement by opting for a fierce combination of perfectly arched eyebrows, well-blended pink eyeshadow, dramatic and long eyelashes, flush pink blush and a beautiful nude lip. As an accessory, she sported a red guitar-shaped clutch purse, acting as a miniature version of the guitar her character Anna played in Freaky Friday during scenes with her band Pink Slip.

Between the outfit paying tribute to the original film and the fact that Lohan was eager to reprise her role in the sequel, it’s clear to see her adoration for Freaky Friday is overflowing. “I’m excited. It feels surreal. I’ve never thought I would do a movie where there would be a sequel,” the 39-year-old shared with Elle. “It’s something you don’t really think about. And then when you get to do it, and bring a character that you knew so well back to life, in a sense, it’s exciting.“

She went on, adding, “There’s a comfort with it that you don’t find in a new character. It’s evolved. What are they like now? How can we shoot it? So it felt really special, and so did doing my first feature back with Disney again after not doing features for such a long time. It’s a really nice thing.“

While the actress has changed since the first Freaky Friday premiere, her love for the 2003 and 2025 titles remains unchanged.

“It’s easygoing,” Lohan said when describing the feel of Freakier Friday. “I feel like everything felt at ease when we were making it, and I feel that’s the best way to describe how I felt when I watched it. It felt easy and fun, and fresh at the same time. There’s not a lot bringing me to the movie theaters personally right now.”

“[Freakier Friday] is a feel-good movie,” she added. “Which is what I want to give people. And it’s fun.”
