All eyes were on Margot Robbie at last night’s Met Gala. The upcoming Barbie star stunned in a gorgeous black vintage Chanel gown featuring an asymmetrical sweetheart neckline and transparent corset-inspired paneling on the midriff.

The actress kept her glam natural with a pink-brown lip, a touch of blush and feathered brows. Her signature blonde hair was parted to one side and styled into a voluminous blowout. She kept accessories to a minimum with two dainty rings and diamond earrings.

The dress was inspired by a Karl Lagerfeld 1993 original that one-time SI Swimsuit model Cindy Crawford debuted on the runway 30 years ago. It was remade for the 32-year-old actress, who served as a Chanel ambassador, while the late designer was the fashion house’s creative director.

Cindy Crawford shared an iconic throwback Instagram photo of herself walking the runway in the original dress.

“Ode to Karl,” the 57-year-old wrote. “Love seeing this look come back to life 🖤 #MargotRobbie in @chanelofficial ✨.”

“what’s old is new what goes around comes around the circle of life and the circle of fashion long live the king,” Phillip Bloch commented.
