Margot Robbie Embodies ‘Pure Drama’ for Cinematic ‘British Vogue’ Cover Feature

Margot Robbie brought the drama for her breathtaking cover feature with British Vogue.
The 35-year-old actress—who broke onto the Hollywood scene with her standout performance in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street before going on to star in multiple box office hits, including Suicide Squad, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Barbie—is gearing up for a press tour around her upcoming film, Wuthering Heights. Her latest is a stylized adaptation of the beloved classic, wherein Robbie will play the lead role of Catherine opposite Jacob Elordi’s Heathcliff.
Robbie sat down with the publication to chat about the highly anticipated project, and she also posed for a few moody, fashion-forward photos. In fact, the snapshots were so cinematic, they could be stills from their own romantic film.
Reviving “radical romance”
For the cover shot, Robbie leaned against a gray stone wall in an elegant ensemble, provided by Chanel and styled by Robbie Spencer—as were all her looks for the luxe feature, per British Vogue. The long-sleeve cream top was a cozy, casual addition, tucked into a dramatic feathered overlay before merging with a stark black maxi skirt. The actress’s signature blonde hair was styled in natural waves, with her makeup kept equally natural for an effortless final look.
And that was just one of many ensembles Robbie rocked for the stylized shoot. Other photos captured for the feature saw the actress posing in the rain, drenched while wearing a sparkling silver top and sheer pink skirt. She also donned a dreamy gown with an incredible train for a dramatic black and white snapshot, which was paired with chunky, heeled booties.
Still, our personal favorite look of the entire shoot was also the most vibrant, which the publication showcased in a video shared to their Instagram page. Under a moody sky broken up by chaotic clouds, Robbie modeled a flowing white gown with a pastel-blue floral pattern. The piece was crafted with loose-fitting long sleeves and an elegant skirt for a nostalgic final silhouette, with an eye-popping red vest fitted to her torso for a modern edge.
Her return to acting
Aside from her fabulous fashions, Robbie also sat down for a marvelously in-depth interview with the publication. There, she opened up about shooting Wuthering Heights, and what it was like to head back to set after taking some time away from acting while expecting her first child with husband Tom Ackerley.
“I was three months postpartum when we started shooting,” Robbie told British Vogue. “So I was in a very different headspace. I didn’t do my usual routine. It was more haphazard. And I remember saying to Emerald [Fennell, the film’s director], ‘What if I’m not prepared enough?’ She kept saying, ‘I don’t want you to prepare. I just need you to be in the moment.’ Which was a lovely way of relieving my anxiety. It was about being in my body as opposed to my head.”
She also weighed in on what fans can expect from any potential love scenes, saying that the overall tone is “more romantic than provocative.” Robbie continued, stating, “This is a big epic romance. It’s just been so long since we’ve had one—maybe The Notebook, also The English Patient. You have to go back decades.”
Wuthering Heights hits theaters Feb. 13, 2026—just in time for Valentine’s Day.
