Monique Billings brought unapologetic Barbiecore energy to the tunnel ahead of the Golden State Valkyries’ June 27 matchup against the Chicago Sky, turning heads in a bold, bubblegum pink three-piece set that proved she’s as much a style star as she is a force on the court.

The fierce look, styled by Vincent Weathersby Jr., featured the ATHINA Printed Barbie Pink set from Rêve Dorés, a high-fashion tribute to the iconic doll that included a geometric print crop top, tailored long-sleeve jacket with gold button details and high-waisted mini skirt that hugged her figure to perfection.

The forward flaunted her sculpted frame and commanding presence, strutting into Chase Center—dubbed “Ballhalla” by fans—with the same confidence she brings to the game. Crafted from body-con bandage fabric, the ensemble blended structured luxury with playful charm, balancing high fashion and sporty flair in a way that felt fresh and entirely on-brand for Billings.

The California native topped off the look with a gorgeous, glowy glam moment and gold bangles and a statement necklace, complementing the drama of the set. She added white sunglasses and a small white purse for a pop of contrast, while frilly white crew socks styled with black pointed-toe slingbacks gave the outfit an unexpected, editorial twist.

“I love when I’m in that mode💝,” the 29-year-old captioned a video of her arrival at the Rakuten tunnel on Instagram.

“Oh hi Barbie!,” Kendra Andrews exclaimed in the commented.

The 6-foot-4 veteran brought her signature hustle to the team’s hard-fought 83–78 win. She notched 9 points, 4 rebounds, two blocks and a steal in 28 minutes of action, playing a critical supporting role in a squad that’s quickly becoming one of the most exciting stories in the WNBA. Other standout performances from Friday night included Kayla Thornton’s career-high 29 points, along with strong showings from Tiffany Hayes and Kate Martin.

The Valkyries, an expansion team making their debut this season, have stormed into the league with consecutively sold-out games, unmatched fan energy and a franchise-first sponsorship with Sephora that includes naming rights to the team’s training facility. It’s a new era for women’s basketball in the Bay—and Billings has quickly cemented herself as one of its most stylish faces.

A UCLA alum and former Atlanta Dream player, Billings has carved out a reputation over seven seasons as a gritty, athletic big with off-court elegance to match. She’s embraced the Valkyries’ electrifying energy and violet-hued branding with ease, adding her own splash of hot pink to the mix. While the season is just getting started, one thing’s for sure—Billings came to play and slay.
