Olandria Carthen Proves This Sweet Color Combo Is a Bold and Stylish Pairing

We have total heart eyes for Olandria Carthen’s pink and red look, worn by the former Love Island USA star for GCDS’s Feb. 27 show during Milan Fashion Week.
The Alabama native—who placed second with her beau, Nicolas Vansteenberghe, in the show's seventh season—wore a two-toned ensemble curated by The Raismans, her longtime stylists.

Carthen’s latest look is a totally different vibe than her previous fashion week ensembles. She first showcased a sheer, sparkling black gown while in attendance for the Roberto Cavalli show. Then, while at the Blumarine show on Feb. 27, she styled another monochromatic onyx ensemble in which she mixed leather, lace and bold makeup to create a daring designer display.
In the pastel creation, the flourishing fashion star donned a bubblegum pink satin bomber jacket, which she left completely unzipped. The garment, featuring a vibrant crimson trim, was paired with matching satin micro shorts, closed-toed pumps and a pair of statement accessories—retro white sunglasses and a printed head scarf.
Carthen snapped a handful of frames in the eye-catching ‘fit, and shared 14 of them to to her 2.3 million Instagram followers days after its debut in Milan. She penned as it caption, “Your fav’s fav mood board,” coupled with an emoji blowing a kiss, as Megan Thee Stallion’s “Megan’s Piano” played in the carousel’s background.
Plenty of fellow Love Island stars, like her Season 7 castmates Jeremiah Brown and Hannah Fields, headed to the post's comment section to cheer on Carthen as her Milan Fashion Week reign continued.
“Can nic fight 🤭🤪,” wrote Leah Kateb, who appeared on the show one season before Carthen. Kaylor Martin, another Season 6 star, added, “ohh hunni 👏.”
Maura Higgins, who first appeared on Love Island UK and recently scored a second-place spot on The Traitors Season 4, also chimed in: “LOST FOR WORDS🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.”
On her pivot into the fashion industry, the move has been on Carthen's radar for some time, she previously shared in a conversation with Vanity Fair. “I’ve always had, like, a love for fashion and modeling and, like, beauty and makeup,” she said. “Honestly, that’s the most buzz around my name at this point, so that’s something I truly want to prioritize.”
She later added, “As far as, like, [going] to shows, and networking, and meeting with designers, and supporting upcoming Black designers, [that is] something I’m truly passionate about. So I just wanted to start there and work my way up to the big leagues, for sure.”
