Olivia Dean Shines in Strapless Black Gown at 2025 ARIA Awards

The ‘Man I Need’ singer has the fabulous wardrobe we need.

Olivia Dean was a marvelous vision at the 2025 ARIA Awards, which took place in Sydney, Australia, this week. For the ceremony, she leaned into ballgown glamour with a gorgeous piece that personified opulence. Needless to say, this was an outfit that absolutely needed to make her Instagram grid.

Dean’s attire consisted of a divine black strapless dress perfect for a princess. The upper half was designed with a strapless straight neckline that was pleasantly interrupted by a well-placed white rose in the middle. A black velvet bow sat at the back of the flower, giving it an extra bit of prettiness. Another noteworthy aspect of the top was that it was filled with an assortment of tiny black flowers and black jewels—two ornaments that came together to produce the chic look.

Regarding the bottom, Dean showcased why bubble skirts were worth obsessing over this past summer, as the design here truly benefited from such a grandiose shape. The gown extended from one side to another before magnificently pooling on the floor. A slight opening to expose her shimmery pointed heels cleverly prevented this look from overtaking the star’s lower half.

She let her wavy dark brown hair dance down her shoulders to her back. Some barely-there makeup and a hint of bling were great decisions, too.

With this being one of the English singer’s best years yet, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to music fans that Dean was going to take to the stage to show off her vocals. And it also shouldn’t come as a surprise to fashion fans that she debuted not one fabulous look for the night, but two.

For her second outfit change, she took to the ARIA Awards stage wearing a sparkly gold number. The fringes on the hem of the pieces gave her a ton of movement, so that when she shimmied on the stage, so did her dazzling dress. Underneath the limelight, Dean’s superstar presence was impossible to ignore, especially as she was performing her smash-hit track, “Man I Need.“

A glammed-up queen who knows how to keep her fans on the edge of their seats, wondering what she’s going to wear next. Dean flawlessly exemplifies why she is the one to watch in the upcoming awards season. Safe to say, the 2026 Grammy Awards—for which she’s nominated for Best New Artist—will be the night her musical-inclined and fashion-inclined fans will be waiting for.
