Selena Gomez Reveals Her Spring Makeup Routine and Teases New Rare Beauty Blush and Bronzer Shades

The actress, singer and entrepreneur chatted with beauty publication ‘Byrdie.’

Selena Gomez is giving her fans what they so desperately want and need: new Rare Beauty products.

The singer opened up to Byrdie about all things makeup and skincare and how her routine changes in the spring. She also teased new shades of two of her brand's fan favorite products: Soft Pinch Liquid Blush ($23) and Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer Sticks ($26).

The upcoming summer launch will include three new bronzer shades, “Brightside,” “Good Energy” and “On The Horizon,” as well as two new blush colors, “Worth” and “Virtue.” The shade “Bliss,” which is already part of the matte blush line, is the 30-year-old’s favorite for spring.

Gomez also teased a brand new eyeshadow palette called “Give Yourself Grace” containing nine new rosy-nude shades all inspired by the viral liquid blush.

While many of the Rare Beauty founder’s products gain instant popularity through TikTok, Gomez has picked up a few tips and tricks from creators on the video-based platform.

“I love adding bronzer to my eyelids and using it as an eyeshadow because it looks so natural,” she said. “One of my favorite ways to use the liquid blush is to blend it with the Positive Light Liquid Luminizer ($25) to create a glowy blush. I place one or two small dots of blush on my cheeks with one or two small dots of luminizer and blend together. There are so many good combos.”

The Disney Channel alumna recently posted a tutorial on the makeup brand’s YouTube account walking viewers through the most recent product releases: the Positive Light Under Eye Brightener ($24) and the Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter ($25).

“I love a natural, radiant look for spring—so I love to use products that add glow and give me a healthy flush of color coming out of the winter months,” the “Who Says” singer continued in her interview with Byrdie. “I tend to use more nude, pink and coral tones on my lips and cheeks for the warmer months, like the Kind Words Matte Lip Liner in Talented ($15), and use the liner to fill in my lips.”
