Yellow might seem like a sunny summer shade, but its muted darker sister, mustard, is taking over fall fashion. Style icons and A-listers Kendall Jenner and Ariana Grande were seen rocking mini moments in the shade that perfectly matched each of their unique styles.

The reality TV star stepped out for an event with her tequila brand, 818, at the Robata Bar in Santa Monica, Calif., wearing a halter bodycon mini dress. She paired the number with black flats, sleek sunglasses, a black shoulder back and a slicked back braid.

Grande was spotted in New York City at the opening of the Sweetener Ice Cream Shop, to celebrate the launch of r.e.m. beauty’s new Sweetener Foundation.

The 30-year-old was styled by Mimi Cuttrell, who opted for an adorable, vintage 1970s moment with a structured, high-neck vest with an ab-baring open flap and a matching mini skirt. She added oversized circular butter yellow sunglasses and knee-high brown boots.
