Sydney Sweeney’s Style Was a 2025 Fashion Highlight: These 5 Outfits Were Our Faves

When it came to standout style moments on the red carpet this year, Sydney Sweeney certainly made many fashion lovers’ lists.
From movie premieres to afterparties and everything in between, the actress and her style team appeared to use 2025 as an opportunity to have fun with her wardrobe while exploring multiple different trends. Over the last 12 months, the actress channeled everything from Old Hollywood glamour to rock n’ roll grunge to fairytale princess. Each look was a unique fashion moment in its own right, adding fabulous flair to the actress’s catalogue.
So, with this in mind, here are five of our personal favorite red carpet looks Sweeney wore throughout 2025, presented in no particular order:
The Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Starting the year off strong back in March, Sweeney wore this glittering gown by celeb-favorite designer Miu Miu to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. The interesting neckline paired with the piece’s figure-hugging cut and dreamy pink shade was all but confirmation that the actress had a seriously stylish year ahead of her.
The Echo Valley premiere
Trading in the sleek mermaid cut for a breathtaking ball gown, the actress channeled fairytale princess energy when she walked the red carpet for the New York City premiere of Echo Valley in June. Her cherry-red Vera Wang gown was timeless while still incorporating several trendier details, including an exaggerated sweetheart neckline and a fun peplum piece around the waist.
Variety’s 2025 Power of Women
And who could forget the Christian Cowan x Elias Matso gown Sweeney wore to Variety’s 2025 Power of Women red carpet in October? In an ensemble that literally made headlines, the actress donned the silver, chainmail-like dress as she was honored at the evening event. The piece was designed using a semi-sheer fabric, creating a see-through silhouette that left fans speechless.
GQ’s “Man of the Year” red carpet
While many of Sweeney’s looks evoke softer aesthetics and classic glamour, the actress took a decidedly different approach while attending GQ’s “Man of the Year” red carpet in November. In a vintage velvet Versace number, Sweeney—who was also being honored at the event as one of the cover stars—leaned fully into 1990s grunge vibes, completing the look with smudged eye makeup, moistened hair and a choker-style necklace.
The Housemaid premiere
Closing out our five favorites for 2025, Sweeney channeled absolutely all of the snow princess vibes when she took to the red carpet to celebrate the premiere of The Housemaid in New York City earlier this month. The gown was a custom Galia Lahav, featuring a striking halter-top neckline, glittering fabric and a dainty bow around the waist. The cherry on top was the fluffy, feathered shawl she carried, further adding to the snowy-chic aesthetic.
