2023 SI Swim Search Top 12 Finalist Sharina Gutierrez Reacts to News in Most Adorable Way
Filipino model Sharina Gutierrez was just named a finalist in SI Swimsuit’s Swim Search top 12, and she couldn’t contain her excitement. The 32-year-old shared the most adorable video of herself announcing—and processing—the news on Instagram.
“Mascara filled eyes and a feeling of gratitude like no other! We did it! We made it to the next round! Top 12,” she wrote on April 3. “Can not put into words the feelings I am currently feeling at the moment. I have cried , danced , cried some more, and danced some more! I am so grateful to be sharing this amazing experience with you all! We are steps closer to a dream come true! Thank you God , my angels , the universe!!!! Thank you SI Swim Team and the entire Swimfluence Network for this amazing opportunity you are giving to all of us SI Swim Rookie Hopefuls! I feel extremely humbled and grateful for this whole experience.”
Gutierrez began the video by running in place with a big smile on her face and let out a little scream. She explained that she was in the middle of filming her daughters during ballet class when an email from the Swim Team popped up on her phone. She said she began hyperventilating and stepped out of the class to film herself singing, dancing and gushing about the news.
“To my children, Russ, my friends, my community! I would not be here today without the support you have continuously given me,” the Estée Lauder model continued. “Thank you!!! We did it! Top 12!!!”
Gutierrez shares three young children with her husband, Russell Theriot.
“Babe this is so well deserved,” Andrea Rogers commented. “You are the most beautiful inside and out and deserve all of this and more! ✨💕 .”
“So amazing babe,” 2023 SI Swimsuit rookie Nicole Williams-English wrote. “Congratulations 🙌❤️.”
“Go get it my friend you deserveee it mamaaa 😍👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽,” SI Swimsuit model Sofia Resing added.
Gutierrez, who started this year with a feature in Vogue, shared an emotional video on March 19 when she made it to the top 24 of SI Swimsuit’s open casting call.
“As I got to walk through life these past months getting to know the Swimfluence community, I’ve met some truly incredible souls along the way,” she captioned the post in part. “Uplifting one another and cheering one another on!”
