Lauren Chan is SI Swimsuit's newest model, and the 2023 rookie announced her status in epic fashion on Instagram.

Chan, who also used the opportunity to publicly come out as gay in an essay on the platform, wore nothing but a white Sports Illustrated hat and pair of string bikini bottoms in her April 19 photo collage. She posed against a lush backdrop of greenery with her hands held to her chest as she smoldered for the camera. Chan dropped her hands and sipped from a glass in a second image.

“Atop the list of things I never thought I’d do: be in @si_swimsuit, be gay, and come out to the world in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit,” the Canadian model wrote in her caption.

“More thoughts and SI Swimsuit photos to come, but for now…I’m going to try to relish in the moment,” she continued. “Thank you for joining me in this celebration! 🌈👙.”

Chan’s comment section was full of tons of her 83,700 followers on the platform showering her with love.

“YAAASSS GIRL!!! 🔥🔥🔥,” fellow SI Swimsuit star Kamie Crawford gushed in the comments.

“I’m just beside myself proud of you. I love you,” five-time SI Swimsuit model Hunter McGrady applauded. “You deserve this. You deserve all of the beautiful things in this world ❤️.”

“This is the hottest announcement of the century,” Laura Delarato stated.

“It’s giving icon,” Gabriella Karefa-Johnson cheered.
