2023 SI Swimsuit Rookie Sixtine Rouyre Has a Message for the Agent Who Said She’d Never Make It

Sixtine Rouyre, SI Swimsuit’s newest 2023 rookie, has a special message for the nay-sayers, particularly one agent who told her she would never make it in the industry because she was “not the right size.”

“this one is for the agent that told me in 2017 I would never be a successful model 😘 @si.swimsuit #sportsillustratedmodel #jeremyallenwhite,” the New York City resident captioned a TikTok on Feb. 17.

The video began with her dressed in a tank top and jeans. She flipped the camera off and mouthed the words “watch me” in sync with the attached audio.

The screen then switched to three gorgeous photos of the model on the beaches of Dominica during her photo shoot with Yu Tsai—which actually took place on Rouyre’s 25th birthday.

“and the best thing is, u didn’t even need to show them by changing urself,” one supportive fan wrote in the comments. “u showed them that u were already enough to achieve everything u wanted <3.”

“Just beyond!!!! 😮‍💨😍,” another person chirped. “Wish there was a reaction video to you seeing these the 1st time!!”

The official SI Swimsuit Instagram account broke the news announcing Rouyre as a rookie on Feb. 15 with a sweet message and behind-the-scenes video from the influencer’s photo shoot.

“Say hello to Sixtine Rouyre, your newest SI Swim 2023 Rookie and body neutrality influencer who made her SI Swim debut in Dominica! Sixtine uses her platform to inspire women to love their bodies regardless of their shape or size👙,” the brand wrote, and quoted Rouyre. “‘To me, being a rookie feels powerful and strong. I’ve always said that I never want to just be a pretty face as a model. If I have a platform, I want to be able to use it, and being a rookie allows me to do that.’”
