Alex Morgan’s Best Blue and White SI Swimsuit Looks in Guana Island

The soccer star has posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue three times—and landed the cover in 2019.

Alex Morgan is not only a two-time Olympic medalist and striker for the San Diego Wave FC, she’s also a mom, entrepreneur and three-time SI Swimsuit model.

Morgan, 33, made her debut with the brand in 2012 when she participated in a body paint feature. She returned to the publication two years later and posed for photographer Adam Franzino in Guana Island. She went on to land the cover of the 2019 SI Swimsuit Issue.

“When I was asked to come back for the second time and be in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, I was so excited because I had such a fun time with body paint and I knew this time around was going to be actual swimsuits, and so I was really excited,” Morgan stated at the time.

For her sophomore feature with the magazine, Morgan got to wear more than a dozen different swimsuits rather than one single painted-on number.

“I got to do 15 changes at different locations, and it was such a fun experience,” she said, noting that her favorite swimsuit was a blue and white checkered bikini she wore at sunrise as she posed atop a rock formation.

Below are six of our favorite photos from Morgan’s 2014 feature in Guana Island, including three snaps of the soccer star in her ideal look while on location.
