Alex Morgan has one of the world’s most powerful women in her friend circle and she’s proud of it. The NWSL player and Taylor Swift first met in 2015 and have been close and “supportive of each other” since. The USWNT co-captain even attended one of the singer’s “The Eras Tour” concerts earlier this year.

“Are you going to invite your very good friend Taylor Swift to the semi finals?” one reporter asked during a press conference this week after the San Diego Wave FC secured a spot in the 2023 playoffs. The game is slated for Nov. 5.

Morgan chuckled and responded “There’s an open invitation, always, yes. I mean American football games are fun, but the real football is more fun.”

The 34-year-old poked fun at the singer’s new romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Swift has been spotted sitting in VIP boxes alongside the NFL star’s parents of late.

“your move @Taylor Swift #taylor #alex,” the San Diego Wave FC TikTok account captioned the funny video.

“REAL FOOTBALL 🔥,” one person commented.

“looks like i’m going to the final 😭😭😭,” another Swift fan commented.

“I need this to happen!🫶🏼⚽️💕,“ someone else chimed.

Morgan, who shares her young daughter Charlie with husband Servando Carrasco, and her team won the NWSL Shield, awarded to the team with the best regular-season record. The Wave ended the season with a 11-7-4 record and entered the playoffs as the No. 1 overall seed.

Morgan has previously revealed that her little girl is a fan of the 33-year-old “All Too Well” singer.

“She’s totally a Swiftie,” the California native told Access Hollywood. “I’ll turn on Taylor Swift and she’ll be like, ‘Mommy, is this Taylor Swift?’ She like knows all the songs now.”
