Alicia Silverstone and her 1995 Clueless character, Cher Horowitz, are both classics, and the actress is reprising her famed role for a Super Bowl commercial.

The 46-year-old actress teased the partnership with online shopping company Rakuten on Instagram on Jan. 31. In the brief clip, Silverstone wore a modernized version of Horowitz’s iconic yellow, black and red checkered blazer and mini skirt combo. She grinned while pulling a string of bubble gum from between her teeth and gave a shrug.

“I’m just gonna leave this here,” Silverstone wrote in the caption of her post.

Fans and followers were quick to hypothesize what the partnership might mean.

“Seems like a clueless sequel happening? 🤔,” one person wondered, while another guessed, “I’m predicting a Super Bowl 🏈 commercial…. ✨🤩.”

Several others piped in to share quotes from the ’90s film, while others commented on Silverstone’s timeless beauty.

Silverstone didn’t make fans wait much longer for another clue, as both she and the official Rakuten IG account posted an additional teaser the following morning.

In the snippet, Silverstone strutted through a classroom up to the front. A bell sounded in the background as she took a seat behind a teacher’s desk and stated, “Don’t bug. Your girl is back.”

The brief video ended with a tagline from the brand that read, “Get a Clue,” with the date stamp, “2.12.23.”

Fans again ran to the comments to try to deduce what the ad could possibly be for.

“This is for like a new product line, right? But I thought that it was a new TV show where Cher was a teacher! That would be hilarious and amazing!” questioned one person.

“What is this ad for? What is coming?” asked another.

Silverstone told Variety that when she was approached to do the campaign with Rakuten, she thought the concept was “really clever.”

“When I think about Cher and about how she’s film’s most historic shopaholic, the idea that she would be able to use this app is the greatest hack ever, getting cash back on all your shopping,” she said. “I feel like she would want everyone to know that.”
